History

School 

The Manning School was established in 2001 and is an option program located in Golden, Colorado.

The Manning School is founded upon three tenets: high expectations for student achievement and thus provide a rigorous and relevant curriculum that prepares students for any high school in the Denver area; develop a strong partnership between the home and school ensuring communication, support and parental involvement; and high behavioral expectations for students and insist that students exhibit responsibility for their learning and conduct.

The Manning School land was donated to Jeffco Public school by Charles A. Manning in the 1950's.

Since then, it has successfully weathered many building, curriculum and community changes:  such as, a junior high, adult ed and option school. The recently renovated, library, auditorium and classroom wings are examples of the latest building improvements.


Faculty and Staff

There are 35 Manning School faculty.  Many hold multiple credentials; Master's and Doctorate degrees. 

Teachers are available for additional instruction during the access period and at the beginning or end of the school day.  

We also have one assistant principal, two counselors, one SEL and one digital teacher librarian who provide students with support services.
