Manning Achievement Time Details
The expectation is for Manning students to be prepared by the end of 8th grade to enter into high school. Students may be invited or required to attend Manning’s Achievement program for various reasons. Maybe the student is struggling with their grades (an F in one or more classes), executive functioning skills, time management, or any other behaviors that we would like to address so ALL students are successful.
At The Manning School of Academics & Arts, we look at the whole child and support them to be the best they can be! Some goals of Manning’s Achievement program are:
1. Increased school to parent communication. After all, one of our core tenets in our vision statement is "Strong Partnerships with Families and Community".
2. Keeping the bar high for all students. We believe in equity and the importance of supporting all students to reach their full potential and their dreams! We will individualize our support to ensure that all students have an opportunity to find success.
Students wo are failing one or more classes will be required to attend Manning Achievement Time. Achievement time is held every Thursday from 3:30-4:15. We will send communication to both student and family each Friday afternoon if a student is expected to attend the next Achievement. If a student is assigned to attend and the fail to attend, they will be required to attend detention.
