Hi Manning students!
Are you interested in participating in a school spelling bee? We are having one at Manning on February 8th. (The winners of the Manning Spelling Bee are eligible to compete at the Colorado Spelling Bee in March. The winners of the Colorado Spelling Bee are eligible to participate in the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. and will win an all-expenses-paid trip there!)
If you’d like to participate, you will need to take a pretest during Access on December 13th. The top 20 spellers will advance to our school spelling bee.
To take the pretest, you must first create an account:
1. Go to this site and click Register at the top right
2. Enter 80401 for our zip code and choose Manning Options School
3. Complete the form
4. You can enter your parent’s name or your name at the top, but you have to use your email! Use your @jeffcoschools.us one
5. Make up a password for the spelling bee account
6. Click Register
You will be able to take a practice test at this registration site as many times as you'd
like to prepare. If you would like to study more, words can be found here.
On December 13th, we’ll meet in the cafeteria during Access and take the pretest together.
